In an attempt to avoid serious problems that can affect the efficiency of refueling ground-operated vehicles and aircraft during military operations, Armed Forces North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are introducing use a unique fuel for both air land use. The has been selected is F-34, similar Jet A-1, which used in civil aviation, order replace diesel many applications. It be mentioned tests performed with this fuel, kerosene type on high frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR) have shown such responsible severe wear. This very wear related low lubricity aviation fuel. Having idea improve level fuels compression ignition engines (diesel fuel), seven N,N-Bis(2-ethoxyethyl) fatty acid amides were formulated from various vegetable oils (sunflower oil, soybean cottonseed olive tobacco seed coconut frying oil), they evaluated as improvers required tribological measurements rating carried out by employing ISO 12156-1 test method HFRR instrument. conditions range 55% 58% relative humidity 24 °C temperature. results showed all rated efficient provide acceptable mean scar diameter (below 460 μm) at concentrations 150 300 ppm. Additive below ppm did not level. increase over any significant decrease diameter. A comparison between those non-polyunsaturated like oil seem better improver characteristics.
